The injured pilgrims were initially shifted to Sub-District Hospital Kangan, where doctors and paramedical staff provided emergency treatment. Those requiring specialised medical attention were subsequently referred to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, Srinagar. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed concern over the accident and spoke to the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and senior health officials to enquire about the condition of the injured pilgrims. Sinha later visited SKIMS Soura, where he personally met the injured pilgrims and enquired about their health. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed deep concern over the accident and directed the authorities to provide the injured pilgrims with the best possible medical treatment.
