Originally opened in 1982 by Mark Formel, the business was purchased by Pereira Barros in late 2019. Pereira Barros, a native of Oakville, Conn., and owner of AllStar Auto Salvage, continues to do business at the location as Formel Auto Salvage. The letter served as a warning to Pereira Barros not to operate outside the licensed hours. Pereira Barros told the board that the company sells aluminum rims, which are delivered in a “big dump container.” Pereira Barros said that a neighboring property owner was selling cars near his property, but Hartsgrove said, “That’s a separate issue.”
