According to WinWin, CAF's Club Competitions and Licensing Committee has provisionally set a date for the preliminary-round draws of both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. The report claims that Thursday, 6 August has been provisionally approved as the date of the draw, pending an official announcement. The second preliminary round is reportedly set to begin on 16 October, before the group stages get underway in November. The winners of the CAF Champions League will receive prize money of $6 million (approximately R100 million), while the CAF Confederation Cup winners will pocket $4 million (approximately R67 million).
