Newsbrief: Resident Evil Requiem, the latest mainline entry of the zombie series by Capcom, has sold over eight million units in cumulative sales.
The cumulative series unit sales currently sit at 213 million units.
Five other Resident Evil games from the company's back catalogue sold one million copies or more during Q1.
As a result, the total lifetime sales to date of the most recent slate of game releases is as follows: 19.75 million for the Resident Evil 2 remake, 18.41 million for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, 16.04 million for the Resident Evil 4 remake, 15.86 million for Resident Evil Village, and 14.52 million for the Resident Evil 3 remake.
As Capcom notes in a press release, the Resident Evil series continues to "increase in popularity with a broad, global audience while sales of the previous titles in the series also grew steadily due to pricing initiatives."
