JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda, July 28, 2026 — The Department of the Blue Economy is reminding the public that there is still time to register for its inaugural Blue Economy 101 Webinar, scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. AST via Microsoft Teams. Held under the theme “Blue Economy 101: Understanding the Ocean Economy and Opportunities for Sustainable Development,” the free webinar is aimed at students, educators, policymakers, entrepreneurs, environmental advocates and anyone interested in learning more about the country’s ocean economy. Participants will learn what the blue economy is, explore Antigua and Barbuda’s blue economy, discover traditional and emerging opportunities within the sector, and have the opportunity to engage with experts during an interactive question-and-answer session. The Department said registration is free, but spaces are limited, and is encouraging interested persons to secure their place while seats remain available. The webinar is being hosted as part of the Department’s efforts to promote greater awareness of the blue economy and its role in shaping a sustainable and prosperous future for Antigua and Barbuda under the slogan, “Our Ocean.
