Don’t Send the Money: Doony’s Warns Customers About Loan ScamBelize City business Doony’s is warning customers about a fake social media page posing as its instant loan service and tricking people into sending money online. Customer Service Representative Chinique Kemp said several customers have come into the store reporting money sent to accounts they believed belonged to Doony’s. “We have observed that a lot of customers are coming in and talking to us about money that they have transferred, and we do not do business like that,” Kemp said. “We do do instant payday loans… We do not ask you to transfer any money into no account,” Kemp said. Doony’s says all loans require an in-person visit, and the business never requests online transfers.
