SURREY Police Service (SPS) is investigating an early morning shooting in Surrey’s City Center, where one victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. On Tuesday, July 28 at approximately 3:44 a.m., SPS frontline officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 106 Avenue and 135A Street where one person was injured and the suspect had fled. Police located one female with minor injuries and evidence of shots fired. However, it is believed to be targeted and not extortion-related. SPS’s Major Crime Section has taken over the lead on the investigation, and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS) will be in the area processing physical and digital evidence.
