The Constitutional Amendment Bill had its First Reading in Parliament on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 .
The leadership is here to support and stand in solidarity with our Members of Parliament on behalf of the people of Sierra Leone.
Fixed date for general elections: General elections will now be held on the Second Saturday of November of every election year.
Presidential candidates are no longer compelled to contest for under a political party as long as they meet the requirements to contest for president.
