Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) has revealed that potential buyers are already interested in acquiring parts of its remaining operations after entering voluntary Chapter 11 proceedings.
Speaking to the drinks business, an RNDC spokesperson said the court-supervised process would allow the company to continue discussions with prospective purchasers as it winds down its remaining business.
Among RNDC’s joint ventures, only its Alaska operation forms part of the Chapter 11 process, with joint ventures in New York, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky remaining outside the proceedings.
Ultimately, RNDC’s financial position required us to pursue an in-court process,” the spokesperson told the drinks business.
