['Gino Devaney']
Hits 96 | WDOD-FM
After over ten years of serving the Chattanooga community, Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar is set to close its downtown location at Warehouse Row.
The Chattanooga location, which opened in 2013, became a staple for fans of made-from-scratch Southern cuisine, including favorites like fried green tomatoes, biscuits, fried chicken, and grits.
Founded in Asheville, North Carolina, in 2000, Tupelo Honey has expanded to nearly 30 locations across the United States, primarily in the Southeast and Midwest.
The closure of Tupelo Honey follows a broader trend of restaurant shutdowns in Chattanooga, reflecting ongoing challenges within the local dining scene.
Chattanooga has also seen the recent closure of several other dining establishments, including Adele’s Creperie, Stevarino’s, Bela Lisboa, and the Chattanooga location of 1885 Grill.
