Article contentHURON – Huron OPP officers are investigating after they said several $5 Canadian bills suspected to be counterfeit were passed at businesses in Goderich and Clinton over the past month. According to police, the bills were similar to legitimate currency but showed excessive wear and colour differences. Huron OPP encouraged residents to double check their bills, and to contact the OPP if they suspect they have a fraudulent bill. OPP said they will forward the bills to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for further examination.
