Iraq’s new prime minister, Ali Al-Zaidi, arrived in Turkiye on Tuesday for talks that are expected to include the construction of a pipeline to Turkiye aimed at reducing the exposure of Iraq’s oil exports to tensions in the Gulf region. The initiative aims to build generations capable of competing and excelling across diverse fields, from science and medicine to arts and sports. The meeting focused on accelerating drilling programmes, boosting gas output and expanding seismic surveys to identify new reserves. The talks focused on capacity building, policy coordination and supporting ICAO programmes across Africa. The event brought together ministers, armed forces leaders, academics and public figures.
