Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid held talks with Omar El-Sahy, General Manager of Amazon Egypt, to review the company’s expansion strategy and investment opportunities in the Egyptian market. Discussions focused on enhancing the business environment, supporting digital economy growth and positioning Egypt as a regional hub for e-commerce and technology services. He highlighted the government’s approach of continuous dialogue with business leaders to balance investment support with regulatory frameworks. El-Sahy outlined Amazon’s growing investments in Egypt, including logistics and operational infrastructure, and emphasised the strategic importance of the Egyptian market for regional expansion. Both sides agreed to continue close engagement to support Amazon’s expansion in Egypt and empower local companies to access international markets.
