Travellers 'in tense stand-off with residents' as they move onto village green

The group in up to 20 caravans arrived late this afternoon on the public space by Ombersley Memorial Hall, forcing the closure of a children’s play area.
"There's been word that there are more travellers due to arrive, although I'm not sure how true that is.

The green and play area are owned by the Memorial Hall Trust but are open for public access for the benefit of the community.
The incident comes after a large group travellers left land at Battenhall Playing Fields in Worcester earlier today.
