Nellore: A 30-member police team led by Kondapuram, Vinjamur, and Kaligiri CIs conducted a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Thoorpu Jangalapalli village on Tuesday. Officers inspected residences, verified habitual offenders, and seized 35 undocumented vehicles—including 32 motorcycles and 3 auto-rickshaws. Police also organized a community awareness drive focusing on women’s safety, drug prevention, cybercrime, traffic rules, and the Dial-112 service. District SP Dr Ajitha Vejendla stated that CASO is an ongoing crime prevention process vital for maintaining law and order, urging the public to cooperate with law enforcement and report suspicious activities promptly.
