Kurnool: Union Bank of India’s Regional Office in Kurnool celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on Tuesday to honor 1999 war heroes. District Sainik Welfare Superintendent Mahendramma attended as Chief Guest, accompanied by Regional Head D Anil Kumar and EBC Head R Yadhu Bhushan Reddy. Five Kargil War veterans were felicitated with shawls and mementos after sharing inspiring battlefield experiences. The bank also organized a free health check-up camp for around 60 participating ex-servicemen. Bank officials paid rich tributes to the martyred soldiers, reaffirming deep gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces for safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
