Guntur: YSR Congress Party’s student and youth wings conducted a rally from Sankar Vilas Centre to Lodge Centre here on Tuesday, demanding the resignation of Minister for HRD Nara Lokesh, alleging irregularities and malpractices in the conduct of the DSC recruitment process. Addressing the gathering, the YSRCP students wing state president Panuganti Chaitanya demanded that Lokesh take moral responsibility for the alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process and submit his resignation immediately. He also demanded the immediate release of pending fee reimbursement dues and the provision of unemployment allowance to eligible youth. He warned that the protest was only the beginning and said the party would continue its agitation through various programmes until Lokesh stepped down as Education Minister. They conducted the protests in response to call given by the party, in the backdrop of resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the leak of NEET question paper.
