Guntur: Guntur Municipal Corporation has decided to implement cent percent door-to-door collection of commercial waste across the city. GMC commissioner K Mayur Ashok on Tuesday conducted a meeting with the public health department officials to prepare a ward-wise pinpoint programme to ensure cent percent door-to-door collection. Addressing the meeting held at the GMC office here on Tuesday, Mayur Ashok said that the GMC will get 200 e-autos for door-to-door collection very soon. He directed the officials to prepare a detailed plan for each ward and Secretariat, map the areas allotted to every vehicle and install GPS tracker. He stressed on the need to maintain records of waste collected in every trip.
