Drivers in one Australian state have just days left to claim a one-off registration rebate, with a local MP urging eligible motorists not to miss out. Labor MP Paul Mercurio has reminded Victorian drivers they have until this Friday, July 31, to claim 20 per cent off on up to two vehicles. In a social media video, the Hastings MP said eligible Victorians can still access the rebate through the Service Victoria app or website, describing it as a simple way for households to ease cost-of-living pressures. Eligible motorists can claim the refund on up to two vehicles registered in their name, with the full rebate available whether registration was paid upfront or in instalments. Support is available by calling Service Victoria on 132 842, while Western Port Community Support in Hastings is helping residents submit applications before the deadline.
