The Chayse West Fest, organised by The Chayse West Legacy, will take place on August 30, from 11am at Spring Lane in The Chase, Colchester. The annual event honours Chayse West, who was just 18 when he suffered a fatal head injury after being struck by a vehicle that failed to stop on the B1027 in Elmstead Market in the early hours of September 18, 2022. This year’s Chayse West Fest promises a full day of activities for all ages. "The first is to raise vital funds for The Chayse West Legacy to ensure we can continue to support families who find themselves in a similar situation to us. "We use this day to promote what we do, to bring the community together and to remember Chayse."
