According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday around 6:42 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in front of 11007 Dixie Highway in Walton. The motorcycle left the road, struck a culvert and collided with a metal gate belonging to a business at 11007 Dixie Highway, the sheriff’s office states. According to the sheriff’s office, speed and alcohol use are suspected to be contributing factors. In addition, deputies say Shulze was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
