Persons with disabilities (PWDs) have appealed to the leadership of the APM political movement in Bauchi State to ensure inclusive representation in its ongoing leadership appointments.
The appeal was made in a message addressed to the Chief Deputy of Staff of APM, Musa A. Usman, following his recent appointment and the announcement of Director General Deputies (DGDs) across Bauchi North, Bauchi South and Bauchi Central.
The appeal noted that members of the Deaf community had expressed interest in serving in leadership positions, including as DGDs, coordinators and other strategic offices, urging the APM leadership to consider qualified persons with disabilities during the appointment process.
AdvertisementAccording to the message, appointing competent PWDs would encourage greater participation by the disability community and strengthen support for the movement’s political objectives.
The message concluded with a call on the APM leadership to give favourable consideration to qualified persons with disabilities in future appointments.
