HURON – Several local initiatives received a welcome financial boost July 27 when Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson came bearing cheques. Despite a grey and gloomy morning, two Clinton-based organizations and another in Goderich received a spark from the provincial government. Thompson’s first stop in Clinton was Huron Perth Victim Services, housed inside the Huron OPP detachment. These funds will provide staff and volunteers with more resources to assist local victims and survivors, officials said. Logue received the Attorney General’s Victim Services Award of Distinction in May for her work supporting, caring and advocating for victims.
