Also on April 20, eleven people were abducted from Awon village, still from Kachia LGA, and moved to the same forest camp as the Ariko victims. According to the CSW, kidnapped individuals live in miserable conditions, leading them to fall sick, especially the children. More recently, a survivor who was released revealed that two men, two women and three children had also died in captivity. CSW noted that Kaduna State remains one of Nigeria's hotspots for kidnapping and banditry. Rana appealed to both the Federal Government and Kaduna State Government to improve security and construct accessible roads to vulnerable communities.
