He explained that ICLSAL members today are called to courageously proclaim the truth even when doing so invites resistance, misunderstanding, or opposition.
He added, “Consecrated persons should not expect a journey without difficulties because the mission is delicate and demanding.”
“Man must struggle; difficulties have no appointed time,” Bishop Quematcha added, noting that trials are part of the vocation of everyone who chooses to serve God.
According to the 59-year-old Catholic Bishop, remembering that vocation originates with God is one of the greatest sources of hope for ICLSAL members.
Bishop Quematcha also encouraged ICLSAL members to place greater confidence in God's grace than in their own talents and abilities.
