New Balance is one of the most consistent brands in running, and it has turned things up a notch with the SuperComp Elite v6. Though many specs from v5 remain similar, the SuperComp v6 receives major updates across the board, including a new upper, midsole, carbon plate and overall design. MidsoleThis is where things get especially interesting: an all-new foam and carbon plate (that I am itching to try). The Elite v6 takes the foam a step further wth a PEBA Infinion blend, rather than the supercritical version used in the 1080. Despite its minimalist appearance, the rubber has been strategically placed in the highest-wear areas to improve durability and help protect the midsole foam over the long haul.
