FARMINGTON, N.M. — A judge sentenced a Farmington man to 76 years in prison for killing two people including his former girlfriend, Kelly Heath and Brent Francis, back in October 2024.
Judge Curtis Gurley sentenced 36-year-old Andrew Whittenberg after a jury convicted him on multiple felony charges.
Whittenberg broke into a Farmington home, stole a rifle and used it to kill Heath.
They also convicted Whittenberg of aggravated burglary, larceny of a firearm, tampering with evidence and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
While this will not bring Kelly and Brent back, it does provide their families with a measure of justice.
