Events encouraged community members to always put safety first and work together on keeping everything safeOn July 18, many people attended the Massey Fairgrounds to learn about safety for your home, farm, trail and community. The Manitoulin/North Shore Federation of Agriculture put on the annual Farm Safety Day and BBQ. Local dairy farmer Keith Emiry, Dianne Emiry, as well as Alan Emiry from the Emiry Strawberry Farm were present to answer questions. The Farmer Wellness Initiative was also present at the event. The Farmer Wellness Initiative is part of Agriculture Wellness Ontario, a suite of free programming for the agriculture community to support their mental health.
