The Philadelphia Eagles have reached a lucrative extension with defensive tackle Jalen Carter, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday. That made him a potential trade candidate that the Arizona Cardinals could've pursued, given his ideal fit with their rebuilding timeline at age 25. If they do ultimately decide to trade Sweat, they'll now have to look elsewhere to find younger replacements. Still, it won't have quite the same star excitement surrounding Carter, who has already emerged as one of the best defensive tackles in the league. But if not, it could be in their best interest to shop Sweat for the best package of draft picks they can receive.
