IFO, Nigeria – Three people have died and 12 others were rescued alive after a three-storey mixed-use building collapsed on Baale Road in the Ajuwon area of Ogun State. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency identified the victims as an adult woman, a baby girl and a 75-year-old man. The 12 rescued adults were taken for medical treatment as emergency workers continued clearing the rubble. Emergency teams from the National Emergency Management Agency, the Ogun State Fire Service, the Nigeria Police Force, LASEMA and other responders worked at the site after the Ogun State Government requested additional support. The Chairman of Ifo Local Government Area, Kusimo Idris, said two babies aged under two months were among those rescued from the building.
