The nature-themed playground will be built at Ellenbrook Park, with work beginning on Monday, August 17, as part of Ipswich Borough Council’s investment in improving play facilities across the town. Councillor Stefan Long, Ipswich Borough Council’s portfolio holder for environment and sport, said: "We’re delighted to be bringing another exciting new play area to Ipswich as part of our continued investment in high-quality play spaces for children and families. "The Ellenbrook Park design has been inspired by bugs, nature and imaginative play, creating a unique environment where children can explore, learn and have fun together. The project forms part of the council’s £3.5 million Play Area Strategy, which is delivering significant improvements to play facilities across the borough. During construction, the existing play area at Ellenbrook Park will be closed for safety reasons.
