Care leader encourages people to explore rewarding adult social care careers

Daniel Langridge, head of partnerships and development at Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh and Romsey, began his career as a care assistant after switching from a retail job.
He now features in Bluebird Care’s latest workforce report, Untapped Opportunities: Building Meaningful Careers in Social Care, which examines the social care staffing crisis and calls for greater awareness of long-term career paths in the industry.

According to Skills for Care, the region currently has about 182,000 adult social care posts, with 11,000 vacancies.
Jonathan Gardner, chief executive officer at Bluebird Care, said: "Daniel's journey demonstrates that careers in social care extend far beyond frontline care.
