ISLAMABAD – The Pakistani High Commission in London has announced the much-anticipated resumption of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights to the United Kingdom, starting this month. The announcement follows the approval of a Foreign Aircraft Operating Permit by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, making it possible for PIA to resume operations. Earlier this month, PIA received official approval from the United Kingdom to operate both passenger and cargo flights to the UK. This approval was granted by the UK Department for Transport, with PIA also receiving a five-year certificate. The comprehensive approval allows PIA to operate direct flights, transporting not only passengers but also cargo.
