Crews have scoured the Thompson River with kayaks, sonar and RCMP divers after witnesses reported seeing a person go under on Friday night. Kamloops Search and Rescue said there is no sign of a person reported to have drowned in the Thompson River near Riverside Park. “There’s no missing-person report, there’s no bags or equipment on the beach and there’s no vehicles in the parking lot unaccounted for. Searchers will also be watching for another missing person believed to be in the river following a crash in May on Schubert Drive along the North Thompson River.
