Cooler temperatures and higher humidity are giving firefighters a temporary break on the Brunswick Complex near Boston Bar, but BC Wildfire Service officials say they are preparing for fire activity to ramp back up. The Brunswick Complex consists of the Brunswick Creek wildfire and the Ainslie Creek wildfire, which now includes the Anderson Creek wildfire after the two merged. Blois said the Ainslie-Anderson fire is about 18,000 hectares, while the Brunswick Creek fire is around 7,400 hectares. Although fire activity has eased for now, Blois said crews are using the opportunity to prepare for what could be a long summer.
