Duale went on to say that a parliamentary system would reduce the risk of election-related violence, since results would be determined by constituency-level tallies rather than a single national count subject to dispute. He expressed hope that Kenyans would eventually embrace the model, saying it remained his wish "before I die" to see the country adopt a parliamentary system of government.
