Two Army soldiers injured in mine blast along LoC in Uri

Srinagar, Jul 28: Two Army personnel sustained injuries in a mine explosion along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, officials said.
The injured have been identified as Dafadar Vijay Kumar (42) and Naik Sharanapa Angari (28), both serving with 8 Rashtriya Rifles.
The incident took place near the Upper Garh Forward Post of 8 Rashtriya Rifles (8 RR), operating under the 12 Infantry Brigade in the Kamalkote sector, which falls within the jurisdiction of Police Station Uri.
Officials said the injured soldiers were immediately evacuated from the site and airlifted to the Army’s Base Hospital at Badamibagh in Srinagar for specialised treatment.
Officials said the exact circumstances surrounding the explosion are being investigated.
