The relief, provided from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of the MLA Khanyar, was distributed among 14 fire-affected families, with each family receiving ₹60,000. Addressing the gathering, Sagar said it was the responsibility of elected representatives to stand with people during times of distress and extend timely support to affected families. “The tradition of serving people, sharing their hardships and ensuring timely assistance has remained central to the National Conference,” Sagar said. The beneficiaries and local residents expressed gratitude for the financial assistance, saying it provided relief to families affected by the incident. Earlier this month, Sagar had distributed ₹14.20 lakh among 17 fire-affected families in Syedpora Nowhatta and six affected families in Nowpora.
