Jacoby Brissett is eyeing a new contract this offseason, and Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur gave an update on where things stand between the team and the quarterback on Thursday. Brissett's two-year, $12.5 million deal will pay him a $4.8 million salary with $1.5 million in guarantees this year. Starting most of the season, Brissett threw for 3,366 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 14 games. Brissett will be 34 years old at the end of the season and isn't a long-term option for the rebuilding squad. Giving him a big, multiyear contract doesn't make sense considering the Cardinals will likely try to draft his replacement in the spring.
