ESPN's Shams Charania reported Friday that LeBron James will sign a two-year, $8 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Colleague Bobby Marks provided an annual breakdown:Adding James to the mix will bump fellow free-agent signing Dean Wade to the second unit.
James' fit on the 76ers is also cleaner than it would've been with the Cleveland Cavaliers or Miami Heat.
The Cavs would've had a difficult time balancing the need for LeBron, Donovan Mitchell and James Harden to operate on the ball, assuming Harden's return would've followed James' arrival.
Philly undoubtedly faces some challenges with James, Brown, Embiid and Tyrese Maxey all on the same roster.
