The Golden State Warriors are willing to discuss a short-term maximum contract extension with Stephen Curry, according to ESPN's Anthony Slater. "You know, if he wants a one-year extension at big money, if he wants a two-year extension, the Warriors are very open to that conversation. Curry will become eligible to sign a new extension with the Warriors on Aug. 29. Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. also confirmed that the team was interested in finalizing an extension with Curry and ensuring that he finishes his career with the organization. Curry missed significant time during the 2025-26 season due to a knee injury, but was still dominant offensively when healthy.
