Bleacher Report - Front Page
A Jackie Robinson card made history at auction on Friday.
Fanatics announced that it had sold an autographed card from Robinson's rookie year for $1,860,000, setting a record for the highest price paid for one of his cards.
The previous record was $960,000.
The previous record holder was a 1952 Topps card sold at Goldin Auctions in 2021.
A card as historic as the one purchased on Friday is likely to only go up in value, so whoever purchased it could end up turning a massive profit one day.
