Former NFL guard Jordan Devey died at the age of 38 on Tuesday.
The family of Devey said he died by suicide, per ESPN.
"Tragically, Jordan took his own life, leaving his family to navigate an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time," a post on a fundraising page read, per ESPN.
Devey, who played collegiately for Snow College and Memphis, played seven seasons in the NFL, appearing in 44 games for five teams.
He started his career with the New England Patriots and played in seven regular-season games in 2014, when they won the Super Bowl.
