The Tennessee Titans front office joined in on the ice bucket challenge to support former running back Chris Johnson following his ALS diagnosis. Johnson shared his diagnosis of what he described as "sporadic ALS" in a June 29 appearance on Good Morning America. He later asked in a social media post for people to bring back the ice bucket challenge that previously went viral in 2014. The ALS Therapy Development Institute estimates to challenge resulted in raising $220 million in donations to ALS research around the world. Former NFL stars including Marshawn Lynch and LenDale White are among those who have participated in the challenge since Johnson's call.
