All current members of St. Paul county council have applied for re-election for the October 20 municipal election. So far, candidates for Reeve include current reeve Glen Ockerman, Yvonne Weinmeier, and current division 2 councillor Kevin Wirsta. For Division 1, candidates running are Gerry Kjenner, Mark Mallett, and current councillor Darrell Younghans. Division 3, candidates running are Rob Foote, Ross Krekoski who is the current councillor, Marc Marcoux, and Gerald Michaud. Advance voting will take place at the St. Paul Legion from October 9 to 11 and at the Elk Point Seniors Centre on October 11 for Divisions 1, 2, and 3.
