Overnight roadworks on the southern end of The Plain, Gloucester Road and Quaker Lane — which began on Monday — will remain in place until Friday, July 31.
The roads are shut from 8pm to 6am each night while survey teams map underground utilities to shape plans for a major new walking and cycling route.
This scheme, first proposed by South Gloucestershire Council in 2023, aims to create a new walking, cycling, and wheeling route connecting Thornbury High Street with Grovesend Road and Gillingstool.
A spokesperson for South Gloucestershire Council said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank residents and road users for their patience while these essential survey works are completed."
Between Monday, August 3 and Friday, August 14, temporary traffic lights will operate overnight from 8pm to 6am on Gillingstool, Grovesend Road, and Morton Way at the junction with the Grovesend Road roundabout.
