After more than 500 incoming Howard University freshmen were by the school, New York State is preparing to help students impacted.
Some schools that are part of the State University of New York (SUNY) and the City University of New York (CUNY) systems will expedite late admissions review for the students.

It’s unclear how many of the impacted 502 freshman were “awaiting federal financial aid, private scholarships or grants,” notes the New York Times.
Howard is “reviewing information related to anticipated scholarship funding and other financial aid,” the school said.
