State requires Rs.2,200 crore to Rs.2,400 crore annually for fee reimbursement, says Revanth ReddyChief Minister A Revanth Reddy said Telangana needs up to Rs 2,400 crore annually for fee reimbursement and assured timely payments through a new mechanism. He said the government had devised a mechanism to ensure timely payments and assured that fee reimbursement would no longer face delays in the future. “From now on, fee reimbursement for a particular academic year will be paid in full during the same academic year, with funds deposited in advance directly into bank accounts,” Revanth Reddy told mediapersons in New Delhi. The Chief Minister said a Vigilance and Enforcement probe was underway against institutions that allegedly claimed fee reimbursement by submitting inflated or fabricated figures despite lacking adequate infrastructure and facilities. Revanth Reddy also accused the BRS of trying to create a false impression that his government was responsible for withholding fee reimbursement payments.
