BEMIDJI — Three different plans regarding the future management of the Sanford Center were discussed during a Bemidji City Council work session on Monday, as the end of the current management contract looms.
The options discussed by the council on Monday included:Renew the contract with ASM Global as is or hire a different event management company.
"I believe a food and beverage tax of 1% could bring in income for the Sanford Center and other projects,” he added.
Spiczka voiced similar concerns as the council members about the city learning event management and not repeating past mistakes.
“There were over 100 more events at the Mankato Event Center last year compared to the Sanford Center.
