During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray predicted that CM Punk versus Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship could open Night 1 of WWE SummerSlam 2026. Bully Ray reasoned that since SummerSlam is being held in Brock Lesnar’s hometown of Minneapolis, that Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell could be the Night 1 maine vent. Bully Ray explained (via WrestlingInc.com), “Because what I was thinking is, let’s just say night one is on ESPN, right? WWE and ESPN have not yet revealed which matchups will air during the linear ESPN Network broadcasts for WWE SummerSlam. Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title Takes place on Night 1.
